Buganda Kingdom signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Health Hearts Foundation (HHF) on 17th March 2021, to provide a collaborative platform for co-operation, with an overall objective of prioritizing Primary, Secondary and Tertiary prevention of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) in Uganda and beyond, by improving awareness, early detection, training, advocacy, and access to treatment and Rehabilitation services. The joint partnership will see the provision of a collaborative platform to train, skill, promote, rehabilitate and support the people of Buganda who have been affected by cardiovascular diseases and strokes, and support as many people as possible. The collaboration will increase the resuscitation capacity for primary health workers within the health care facilities, and support cardiovascular advocacy and research programs in Buganda Kingdom and Uganda at large.
