Buganda Kingdom has signed a Memorandum of understanding with Dreamline Products in partnership with UNICEF to spread messages about COVID-19 to the local communities of Buganda through the use of drums.

This will be done to counter the misconceptions by some people that Covid-19 doesn’t exist in Uganda.

The ‘Gwanga Mujje drums’ initiative, is a behavioral change primarily aimed at highlighting the need for the general public to ensure that the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are observed to prevent further spread of the virus within the various communities in which we live. The COVID-19 response in Uganda is supported by the Ministry of Health, UNICEF, World Health Organization and USAID.
